why does it have to rain on mondays?
after a beautiful weekend weather-wise, it decides to get cold AND rain today - WTF? it was SO dark and gloomy this morning - i got up at 6:00 to do my stupid billy banks bootcamp workout… i hated it but managed to last ½ hour so i’m proud of myself but because i stopped early, i was ahead of schedule and at work by 8:15… i’m sure i’ll be ready for bed by 9:00 but need to stay awake since eric will be home tonight, i am very excited to see him!
the rest of my weekend was good - had a nice dinner w/my friend on saturday, we had greek and it was excellent… i was very full on the drive home and cursing myself for having dessert but hey, it was my bday dinner so i was allowed… for the rest of the night, i downloaded a ton of podcasts from iTunes and am set for new workout music… for those of you that use music, you can understand that variety is the key, as well as a good beat!… and who can complain about music being F R E E…
yesterday, i had a relaxing day - minus trying to find cute capri pants which no one seems to have right now… i decided to hang out w/my friend gail whose mom died in april and whose baby is almost 3 months - he is so adorable, i could just eat him up… i also, unsuccessfully, helped molly (their 2½ old) build a house of lincoln logs and don’t recall them being so hard when i was younger… i must’ve been more of a play-doh kind of girl (plus it tasted better)…
had a dept. luncheon w/the president today so food was okay but not great - having 3 (small) cookies was not on the agenda but i couldn’t resist… i had a nice helping of salad and 2 small samiches… i will just have to have a light dinner tonight and all will be good…
