switching things up

so i’m switching things up this week, i’m doing cardio on m/w/f and weights on t/th instead - maybe that will shake things up a bit.. i haven’t received notice that my pilates class is full so i’m looking forward to that tomorrow night, i just hope i like the instructor/class or i’ll stop going (yes, i know i paid but still)… i also tried a new pilates dvd yesterday morning and didn’t like it so i did some yoga instead which is fine - its better than not doing anything at all… i also worked til almost 7:00 so it was a very long day indeed…
i received some sad news over the weekend, my good friend’s mom passed away on saturday so the funeral will be on thursday… i felt incredibly guilty because on the same day i got the news, i had a great day w/my own mom and am SO very thankful that i’m able to spend time w/her… we are very different, my mom and i, but somehow we manage to get along pretty well and enjoy each other’s company… i was never close to her growing up and after my parents split, things were never the same… now that i’m older (and wiser), i really appreciate the time that i spend w/her cus you never know what’s going to happen…
so if you have a mom and don’t talk to her very often, take a minute to call her and say, “hey, what’s up, haven’t talked to you in a while”… you’ll feel better if you do…

thanks for the reminder about how precious moms are. my mom was recently quite ill and now i cherish having her around.
i hope shaking up the exercise routine helps you. good luck with that!
